Benefice:
Residential housing – (Mostly privately owned) – number of longstanding residents and also many commuters; parts of the parish multi-faith areas; parish borders the university and also two industrial estates.

Vision Statement:

  • Worshipping
  • Caring
  • Sharing
  • Growing

Strengths:
Sense within Earley (i.e. non-attenders and fringe) that St Peter’s is their church; good links with church school; involved with REInspired (Schools work); strong and involved choir; significant community use of church hall.

Needs:
To encourage whole congregation to engage at a deeper level with each other; to develop hospitality; to define outreach priorities through engagement with Regenerate. To develop children’s and youth worth. Our Regenerate Project ‘Street Prayers’ is still in its infancy, but we hope through this to meet one of the needs above. Also to make the congregation aware of the need for sacrificial giving.
